Sept. 14, 2016 - High Court Asked to Rule on WOTUS Jurisdiction The U.S. Supreme Court is being asked to make a decision on the Waters of the U.S. rule. Greenwire, which covers environmental issues, is reporting the National Association of Manufacturers has filed a petition with the Supreme Court to determine which court has jurisdiction over the WOTUS rule. A three-judge panel of the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals has determined the federal courts have jurisdiction, not local district courts. The high court is being asked to weigh in on which court will hear any challenges to the Clean Water Act.
