All Breeds Cattle Tour visits Jamestown-area breeders

Seven seedstock producers representing five breeds of cattle were showcased during the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association’s (NDSA) All Breeds Cattle Tour Oct. 1. The tour celebrated its 37th year, featuring an impressive group of Jamestown, N.D.,-area beef producers and welcoming more than 150 attendees.

“The breeders take pride in their cattle and were very excited to welcome guests to view their operations,” said Tour Chairman Cassia Klemz of Jamestown.

The day commenced with registration at the Baymont in Jamestown. From there, the tour departed for visits to Dally Angus Ranch, Montpelier, N.D.; C-B Charolais, Montpelier, with guest Wilkinson Farms Simmentals, Montpelier; Gustin’s Diamond D Gelbvieh, Medina, N.D.; 7N Simmental Ranch, Medina; and TNT Simmental Ranch, Lehr, N.D., with guest Ketterling Simmentals, Wishek, N.D. To cap of the night, a supper was served at the TNT Simmental Ranch sale facility near Lehr. NDSA President Randy Schmitt, a Rugby, N.D. producer, shared an association report highlighting policies passed at the recent NDSA Annual Convention & Trade Show.

“This year’s tour featured excellent sets of cattle,” said Schmitt. “With gracious hosts, fantastic company and top-notch seedstock to view, a great time was had by all.”

The All Breeds Cattle Tour is a project of the NDSA Seedstock Council. Planning for next year’s tour will begin in Spring 2025.
