North Dakota Stockmen’s Foundation to participate in Giving Hearts Day
24-hour giving event to be held Feb. 8
The North Dakota Stockmen’s Foundation will participate in Giving Hearts Day on Feb. 8 with the goal of raising funds to support the 501(c)3’s charitable mission: providing hope and opportunity for the state’s beef cattle industry.
Giving Hearts Day is the largest 24-hour giving event in North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota, with more than 560 non-profit organizations participating. Last year, nearly 42,000 donors raised $26.1 million for the participating non-profits. The non-profits are required to find at least $3,000 in match donations to participate.
The North Dakota Stockmen’s Foundation has set a goal to raise $15,000 to support the organization’s scholarship, leadership, promotion, research, building and disaster relief objectives.
“We are excited about our third year as a Giving Hearts Day participant,” said Jeff Schafer, North Dakota Stockmen’s Foundation president. “Last year was an extremely successful second year for the North Dakota Stockmen’s Foundation, bringing awareness to our mission. We hope 2024 brings even more success, especially with our ongoing Building Campaign. As a non-profit, it is the generosity of our donors that allows us to support the beef cattle industry in this generation and the next.”
The funds raised on Giving Hearts Day will benefit the livestock industry through projects such as scholarships, disaster relief assistance, industry resources, research and more.
