Stockmen’s Association employees acknowledged for dedicated service
The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association (NDSA) acknowledged four employees for their long-time service to the state’s livestock industry during a special awards ceremony at the NDSA’s 94th Annual Convention & Trade Show in Watford City, N.D., this evening.
Elizabeth Neshem of Glenfield, N.D., was recognized for five years of service to the NDSA. Neshem was hired in 2018 as the special projects director. She coordinated the North Dakota Junior Beef Expo, All Breeds Cattle Tour, Tomorrow’s Top Hands Beef Leadership Summit and other popular NDSA programs. In 2020, she was named the communications director. In her current position, Neshem’s primary tasks include the production of the North Dakota Stockman magazine, writing media releases and broadcasting a weekly radio commentary. Neshem and her fiancé Jed Hasenwinkel farm and ranch near Glenfield.
Terra Pulkrabek of Mandan, N.D., was also honored for five years of service to the NDSA. Pulkrabek serves as the inspector-in-charge at Kist Livestock Auction in Mandan. In her role, Pulkrabek oversees inspection operations at the high-volume market, inspecting thousands of cattle, horses and mules, managing the inspector team and administering the state’s brand laws. Pulkrabek has one son, Cooper.
Allen Roshau of Dickinson, N.D., was recognized for 20 years of service to the NDSA as a brand inspector. He works at the Stockmen’s Livestock Exchange and Stockmen’s West markets as a full-time inspector. He also runs a cow-calf operation northwest of Dickinson with his wife Cheryl. The Roshaus have two children, Sage and Reid.
Glen Clark of Williston, N.D., was honored for 30 years of service to the NDSA. He joined the association as a part-time brand inspector at Sitting Bull Livestock Auction and Horab Scale in Williston, then became a full-time inspector in 2001. He and his wife De live in Williston, where he is in charge of both locations. They have three children, Nick, Wyatt and Taylor, and three grandchildren, Connor, Pepper and Beau.
“The NDSA has an amazing staff dedicated to the organization and the industry,” said NDSA President Jason Leiseth, an Arnegard N.D., cow-calf producer. “We are grateful for everything they do 365 days a year.”
